Everyone loves a wedding, well maybe not, but everyone who is close to the people that are in love will love a wedding and you need to make sure you give them good warning of the date. Most people know that the wedding invitations are big and important, but many don’t know that there are ways to give your potential guests even more time to plan around your wedding. This is the biggest day of your lives and you will want everyone that could possibly be there to be there.
One type of invitation that is not in place of the original invitation but is actually in addition to is the “Save the Date” invitation. These go out a few months before the actual invitations so you can give your guests a good six to nine months to know that your wedding is coming. These invitations are much more informal than the actual wedding invitations and should be treated with a fun and positive vibe.
The actual invitations you send out to your wedding will need to be mailed about two months prior to the actual wedding date. These invitations should be very formal with foil lined envelopes and wax paper between the actual invitation and the envelope. It doesn’t hurt to put directions to your chapel or church inside the invitation if you are going to be in a hard-to-find location.
